    Hello, again :)

Oh, my... it has been quite a while since I was on here, much less updated!  I am afraid the world of Facebook lured me away.  You haven't missed out on much though... just a bit of craziness - which is quite normal

Here lately I have been a bit distracted, quite ridiculous, and slightly scattered.  I have had WAY too many "Blonde Moments," most of which have occurred at work .  = Not Good.  But all of it has come in waves... Praise God it hasn't been constant!  It has made me a bit crazy   Otherwise, I am finding myself to be pretty content .  I have been smiling an exceptional amount ...  God is sooo good to me.

Work is going well and is keeping me very busy!  Here are a few pictures of what has happened lately:ouch  I burnt my arm quite badly when a tray of Coconut Macaroons had a fit of rebellion as I attempted taking them out of the oven .  It is much better now... and there haven't been any mishaps with the Coconut Macs since.

the walk-in freezer    We got a fabulous new walk-in freezer about a week & 1/2 ago... it was completely miswired (factory's fault ) but is serving us well now.  PERFECT timing for the holidays!   It amazes me just how much time, energy, and space it saves us!

robo Ally a random pose with my robotic arm .  They are the metal rings I use to bake some of the tart shells in... putting them on my arm is the easiest way to transport them around the kitchen

burns and this is my latest booboo... it still hurts pretty badly .  It, too, will be better with time

Supper is ready, so I gotta go!  Blessings to you all

    Great Lyrics

     ^ Press Play  :)

Here's a song that means a lot to me.  It hit me really hard the first time I heard it.  It's one of my favorites  :)

    'Storm'
    by LifeHouse
[these lyrics are found on http://www.songlyrics.com]

    how long have I
    been in this storm
so overwhelmed by the ocean's shapeless form
    water's getting harder to tread
with these waves crashing over my head

if I could just see you
    everything will be alright
    if I'd see you
the storminess will turn to light

and I will walk on water
and you will catch me if I fall
and I will get lost into your eyes
    and everything will be alright
    and everything will be alright

    I know you didn't
bring me out here to drown
so why am I 10 feet under and upside down
barely surviving has become my purpose
cause I'm so used to living underneath the surface

if I could just see you
    everything will be alright
    if I see you
the storminess will turn to light

and I will walk on water
and you will catch me if I fall
and I will get lost into your eyes
    and everything will be alright

and I will walk on water
you will catch me if I fall
and I will get lost into your eyes
    and everything will be alright
    I know everything is alright
    everything's alright

I think of Jesus when I hear this song and of all that God has planned for us.  Our purpose in life and the challenges we face in each new day.  And all that He strengthens and enables us to do.  And no matter what we go through, no matter what we face, no matter how hard it all is... He is there, He is in control, His timing and methods are perfect, best, right, and can't be disputed.  He knows what he is doing.  He is here  leading us, and guiding us, to see us through.  He will catch us if we fall... He has carried us before  :)  And because of Him, it is all worth it. ALL of it.  :)

    James 1:2-4

    "Dear brothers, whenever trouble comes
your way, let it be an opportunity for joy.
For when your faith is tested, your endurance has
a chance to grow.  So let it grow, for when your
endurance is fully developed, you will be
strong in character and ready for anything."

    2 Timothy 3:16-17

"All scripture is inspired by God and is useful
to teach what is true and to make us realize
what is wrong in our lives.  It straightens us out
and teaches us to do what is right.  It
is God's way of preparing us in every way,
fully equipped for every good thing God wants
    us to do."

    :)   Blessings Everyone!  :)

  • Drum Roll Please...

Hi, just a quick update to let you all know that... I GOT THE JOB!   But... I won't be starting in the kitchen... He forgot to tell me that the position he needs me for is up front at the counter.  He was a little nervous I wouldn't want the job because of that.  But because there is a good possibility of moving to the back eventually, I have decided to take the job .  He said that he doesn't start anyone out in the kitchen, but that he'd "by all means be really happy to have me in the kitchen."  Because he is short handed in the front, he would like to hire me for that position and then go from there.  It's a nice place, he seems really easy going and easy to be around, the atmosphere is easy paced and relaxed, the food is BEAUTIFUL, everything looks so clean and inviting... so I think it works quite well for me Yay!  Thanks be to God!   And thank you all for your support, your friendship and your prayers!  Btw, I start next Wednesday morning .  Blessings everyone!

    A really nice day

Wow, yesterday was a Really Nice Day!   I feel truly blessed!  As if my Heavenly Father was smiling down on me just because he wanted to .  I know I did nothing to deserve it... but I sure enjoyed it!  Thank you God!! So here, I shall share about it...

First off, let me start with Monday.  Monday I received a call from the French bakery in Tallahassee where I had applied for a job the Wednesday before.  The bakery is Au Péché Mignon (which can be translated as " At the Guilty Pleasures" or "At the Sweet Temptation" etc.)  The owner asked if I would be available to come in on Tuesday for a second interview .  At the time, I was at the Redmond's house where Amy and I were working on miniature pecan pies for Scott's and her wedding reception (is your mouth watering?).  Amy sweetly volunteered to go with me to Tallahassee because the trip is always more fun when made with a friend...  and if you are going to make a trip all the way to Tally, you might as well make the gas expenditure worth while and a bit of window shopping always seems to do the trick

When we arrived in Tally, I dropped Amy off at The Fresh Market (one of the nicest, ritziest, and coolest grocery stores ever!) and I headed over to my interview.  I was meeting with the owner and the interview seemed to go well .  We laughed quite a bit actually!  A little bit of interesting info about him: My best guess is that he is in his mid-thirties.  He and his wife have owned the bakery for 7 years and they have a son whom they homeschool.   He (the owner, I wish I knew his name!) is incredibly interested in theWesselhoeft's dairy as he enjoys making cheese.  At the end of the interview, we shook hands (as if to say, ok, that went well, we'll talk soon) and then chatted some more.  We shook hands a second time, and he told me that he "feels really good about this" and that he'd call me later in the day to let me know for sure.  Last evening I was at the Sneads Park with some families from church and my cell phone doesn't get reception out there. He easily could have called and not gotten me.  So, I will try to call later today.  One thing I do know, I am confident of, is that God is in complete control of it all. If I get this job, it is because it is God's will.  If I don't get this job, it is because of God's will.  And there is nothing better .  I am content either way.  I simply want to serve God where ever he deems best.  And I know he will help me know how to do that . Praises to God!! Praises indeed!

Following the interview, I met with Amy and we did some window shopping.  We went to the mall and in JC Penny's we finally found a dress for me to wear to Amy and Scott's wedding next month!  I have been looking for a dress for quite a while... I bought this bolero/shrug on Ebay two weeks ago, and this dress will look perfect with it!
Bolero shrugdress for Cloud Redmond Wedding
The dress was originally $50.  I got it half off, and had an $18 gift card... so I only paid only a little over $8 cash for it!!!

Then we went to Michaels and Amy found some more beautiful flowers on sale, I found something I've been looking for for a looong time, on sale 40% off!

Then, we decided we wanted Starbucks on the way home.  I was getting hungry, too so we stopped at the Ocala Publix shopping center for sushi and Starbucks... then Amy spotted a store called Plato's Closet.  She had heard a lot about it from some of her school friends, so we checked it out.  We found that it's a lot like Goodwill, but for name brand clothes, and it's MUCH cleaner and more organized.  We both found clothes we really liked
    blue skirt black skirt
I bought these two skirts for a total of $17 .  The blue one still had it's original tags.  It was from Talbots and was originally priced at $108!!!!   (I bought it for $6 )

On our way to Publix we ran into my best friend from college, Allison.  She works at Publix and was taking her break .  It was such a treat to see her!!
We got sushi (which Amy is starting to like more and more ) and headed to Starbucks.
    mintmocha_frappuccino
There, I ordered the new Mint Mocha Frappuccino.  The guy who made it was new and accidentally put regular whipped cream on it instead of chocolate whipped cream.  I didn't know the difference, but because he had "messed up" he made me a second one the "right way"!  So I got two Mint Mocha Frappccinos for the price of one!   I knew it was Mrs. Nancy's favorite, so we gave her the extra one at the park last night .  Speaking of the park, it's really nice to meet up with families from church during the week and have an afternoon/evening of sports, fellowship and good food! What a great idea!  I especially enjoyed watching the soccer yesterday and the children running around with their airplanes! I wonder, did anyone get pictures?

Anyway, so yeah, my day was truly blessed!   Blessings to you all!  I hope you all have a fabulous day
